Product Safety & Compliance Engineer

At Rivencore, we're looking for a Product Safety & Compliance Engineer to help ensure our products and systems comply with UK and international regulations throughout the product lifecycle. Working closely with engineering, operations and supply chain teams, you'll play a key role in product certification, safety assurance and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

• Lead compliance audits and support regulatory inspections.
• Manage product approvals, certification and technical documentation.
• Apply standards including ATEX, IECEx, IEC 61508/61511, REACH, RoHS and CE/UKCA.
• Conduct hazard analysis, risk assessments and safety reviews.
• Work with regulators, certification bodies, customers and suppliers.
• Monitor regulatory changes and identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce risk.

What We're Looking For

You'll have experience in product safety, compliance or safety engineering within a regulated industry, together with a good understanding of quality management systems and product certification. You'll be confident communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders and enjoy working collaboratively to solve problems.

Experience in defence, industrial or other highly regulated sectors is advantageous.

Career Level

We're interested in candidates at different stages of their careers:

Mid-Level Engineer

• Around 5–8 years' experience supporting safety cases, compliance and product certification activities.

Senior Engineer

• Around 8–15 years' experience leading safety engineering, regulatory compliance and certification across complex engineering programmes.
